SNC is seeking an experienced and visionary Image Processing Software Lead to architect, develop, and implement advanced image processing algorithms and software for a state-of-the-art airborne platform. In this pivotal role, you will: Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner closely with system, electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers to deliver specialized image processing software that integrates seamlessly with hardware components.
Innovate and Lead: Drive the development of advanced radiometric image processing algorithms and cutting-edge features for real-time imagery analysis, ensuring high-quality outputs.
Team Leadership: Lead a talented team of software engineers, ensuring effective task prioritization, on-schedule execution, and high morale while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks related to image processing software development and develop robust mitigation plans to ensure project success.
Prototype Development: Work on innovative prototype solutions in the lab, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in image processing technology.
Performance Tracking: Oversee and track key performance requirements throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring that all image processing objectives are met.

Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems
Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency) Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience

Advanced capabilities using Computer Aided Engineering tools
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
8 years of experience in image processing, digital signal processing or related field
Knowledge of complete camera processing pipeline and image and video processing techniques, including image enhancement, auto exposure control, color correction, noise reduction, etc.
Experience with containers and orchestration technologies
Experience with real-time algorithm development for video applications
Knowledge of DSP techniques (for example: fixed-point processing, sampling theory, interpolation, filtering and filter design, linear system decomposition)
Knowledge of color science concepts, colorimetry, image sensing technology, and digital video formats
Able to work in cross-functional teams and lead other engineers to ensure the work is of good quality and the right decisions are made for the product
Familiarity with video object detection and tracking
Skills in data preprocessing, augmentation, and handling large datasets efficiently
An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Experience with DoD-focused open architecture specifications like FACE or OMS
Experience with Command and Control Mission Systems or Autonomous aircraft systems
Model Based Systems Engineering experience
Familiar with common video standards
Familiar with image and video compression standards
Familiar with standard video interfaces
Experience using computer simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink)

Experience with Algorithm optimization including multi-threading/parallel processing GPU programming (using CUDA or OpenCL) Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01.
