As a Program Manager I - Aircraft Maintenance, you will support the business objectives at SNC. In this role, you will be managing the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance scope of work as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for a large commercial derivative aircraft modification program at SNC through your skills and expertise. You will be accountable to the Director of Production and Manufacturing and the program leadership team for coordinating and negotiating the successful execution of all required aircraft and aircraft component inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the established OEM Maintenance/Inspection requirements in order to maximize aircraft availability. Represents the SAOC Program Management Organization (PMO) and collaborates with the Part 145 Repair Station Director of Maintenance (DoM) or delegate(s) as the prime technical contact for aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling during maintenance visits and/or modifications. Some key responsibilities include: You will be the driver in ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved and the overall success of the program.
You'll be responsible for conducting routine meetings, interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure the aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
Monitoring the compliance of all applicable Airworthiness Directives and Safety Bulletins.
Coordinates with the DoM and Chief Inspector to develop and comply with SNC/FAA approved inspection programs as necessary
Coordinates, plans and manages appropriate aircraft repair & maintenance schedules with stakeholders
Continually reviews the overall maintenance plan and schedule to assure maximum safety and operating efficiency at a minimum cost.
Performs regular analysis of unscheduled aircraft maintenance trends and recommend appropriate improvements to ensure overall program performance objectives are achieved. Must-haves: Bachelor's degree in Business, or technical related discipline Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines. Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Previous experience with Part 145 repair stations operations. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. This position is required to be able to work onsite and in person. Hybrid or remote requests will not be considered. Preferred: Previous experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Accountability Management (CAM) with PNL accountability will be favorably considered. Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS). Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes. Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile, and or spiral development models. Understanding with application tools and data architectures. Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools. Ability to lead PM process & tool improvement for the Enterprise. Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls. Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff. Ability to establish centralized, coordinating body for PM concerns, recommendations, & issues; developing recommended process improvements; facilitating opportunities with Enterprise Program Finance. Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution. Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate, DCMA, ISO 9001:2000, and AS9100D Policies and Processes.
