As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work. This is a Deployed Rotational Position Must-haves: High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 or 90/45 rotation The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Prior experience in a QA role; the ability to mentor and guide others
Hold an FAA Inspectors Authorization (IA) or meet the requirements to achieve
Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
Prior experience with first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications
Prior experience on Bombardier Dash 8
