As a Field Service Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities: Provide technical support to SNC customers in order to give quick problem assessment and corrections for field units.
Responsible for documenting all customer interactions and must implement and/or support implementation for hardware, software, or training issue changes according to approved SNC instructions.
Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel to remove locations worldwide with relatively short notice.
Perform assigned maintenance task with minimal to no supervisory guidance/oversight.
Follow guidance of shift lead supervisor for daily taskings/expectorations/priorities. Must-haves: Associate's Degree and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques
Advanced electrical wiring skills
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 or 90/45 rotation An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Associate's degree in a related field of study
Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
Experience with computer basics/networking and overall IT concepts.
