SOUTHCOM Counter Uncrewed Systems (C-UXS) Specialist Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: As a CACI SOUTHCOM Counter Uncrewed Systems (C-UXS) Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding mission-critical assets and personnel by providing technical and administrative support to achieve key C-UXS milestones. You will support SOUTHCOM in addressing and countering evolving unmanned threats across various domains, including air, ground, maritime, and underwater within the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Your role will involve critical support in developing C-UXS policies, training programs, and procurement solutions to enhance capacity for Force Protection and Mission Assurance. Additionally, you will coordinate with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Partner Nations to build competencies and address C-UXS challenges. This role offers the opportunity to drive impactful changes in C-UXS policies and procedures, ensuring the protection and security of the Joint Force within the SOUTHCOM AOR. Responsibilities: Responsible for integrating C-UXS efforts directly with Service Component Commands, providing essential support.
Enhance capacity for Force Protection and Mission Assurance, ensuring the protection of the Joint Force by covering gaps in risk to force and risk to missions in the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
Collaborate in developing strategies and planning related to C-UXS Operations across the DoD, contributing to plans, policies, programs, exercises, and orders that align with C-UXS strategic efforts.
Facilitate the development of procurement solutions for C-UXS technology and equipment, including traditional program objective memorandums, urgent operational needs statements, and other mechanisms.
Coordinate with DoD/Service support agencies to conduct C-UXS Assessments (Propagation/Spectrum Analysis) at installations and sites in the AOR that have an enduring presence.
Coordinate authorization documents. Maintain the documentation audit trail on all additions, deletions, and other changes to UXS organizations' authorization documents.
Contribute to the development of technical reports, research papers, and other documentation related to UXS threats and countermeasures.
Develop tactic, techniques, and procedures for C-UXS, including countermeasures as required.
Coordinate with DoD/Service support agencies to provide C-UXS training for DoD forces in theater.
Coordinate training to Build Partner Capacity for partner nation forces supporting DoD as required.
Identify and maintain a listing of C-UXS technical systems and solutions.
Support SECDEF and other high-level staff meetings, which occur weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly, requiring quick information dissemination, and direct participation. This includes planning program, required training and events, engagements with Partner Nations, working group meetings, staff assist visits (SAVs), and C-UXS system demonstrations.
Prepare and submit technical reports and recommendations to the J341 Branch Chief and C-UXS Program Manager, providing essential data points to support the C-UXS Program, analysis, and rapid response to taskers and directives concerning C-UXS operations, support requirements, and crisis action. Qualifications: Required: Active TOP SECRET Clearance with eligibility for SCI
5+ years of experience in a related field (C-UXS analysis, air missile defense, cybersecurity, or a related field).
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DoD-level C-UXS policies.
Comprehensive knowledge of DoD staffing procedures order to act as the functional point of contact for coordination and approval of aviation, airspace and C-UXS studies and documents.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders, including military personnel, contractors, and government agencies.
Strong administrative skills, including preparation of memos, briefings, reports, and other documentation. Desired: Previous Joint Command experience.
Previous program management experience.
In-depth knowledge of DoD-UXS systems: Familiarity with various types of C-UXS platforms, sensors, and payloads used by the military, and their capabilities and vulnerabilities.
Experience with C-UXS tools and methodologies.
Data processing and analysis: Strong skills in data processing, analysis, and visualization tools to support C-UXS assessment and reporting. Project management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Cybersecurity awareness: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices to ensure secure data handling and protection.
Continuous learning: Commitment to staying informed about the latest C-UXS technologies, trends, and threats to maintain a high level of expertise.
