We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our progressive engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a knack for innovative solutions. Your primary focus will be on energy design, where you will apply your expertise to optimize energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance system performance. This is a permanent position that provides ample opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery related to energy systems.
2. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
3. Conduct energy audits and create energy balance diagrams to understand energy losses and suggest ways to improve efficiency.
4. Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project schedules and milestones.
6. Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes.
7. Generate detailed mechanical drawings for fabrication and assembly.
8. Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
9. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of mechanical engineering and energy design.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a specific focus on energy design.
3. Proficiency in CAD/CAE software.
4. Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
5. Proven track record in project management and team leadership.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations.
8. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
9. Experience in sustainable and green energy designs will be highly advantageous.
10. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
12. Strong knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
13. A commitment to continuous professional development.
