Position Description:
This is an Information Technology Operations based role that supports the Louisville Assembly Plant - home of the Escape and Corsair. Louisville prides itself on being a leader in vehicle technology; producing both ICE (Internal Combustion) and BHEV (Battery/Hybrid Electric) vehicles. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a member of the plant's Site IT team and to assist in redefining and reimagining how Site IT lends support to the manufacturing team. As a member of Site IT, you will be hands-on in helping the plant produce vehicles. As part of the job responsibilities, you will be engaged to support a broad range of IT infrastructure and application services in use daily to produce our high-quality vehicles. You will also lend your knowledge and experiences to support process improvement efforts toward flexible and lean manufacturing, enabling Factory of Tomorrow (e.g., IIOT, software-defined networks, next-generation error proofing, digital solutions, and various mobility solutions) along with supporting the legacy manufacturing systems within the facility. The successful candidate will work with global teams for technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem resolution of plant floor applications and infrastructure; as well as leading various efforts to ensure all supported applications meet productivity goals. You will also interface daily with all plant business operations, from assembly and industrial controls to quality and finance. This position provides an excellent opportunity to expand your IT skillset while becoming proficient in manufacturing operations.
Skills Required:Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant o Must be able to work on site with flexible hours in support a multi-shift operation and support weekend production when necessary Provide technical support (IT Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, end-user-productivity tools) to plant business customers throughout a manufacturing space Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts Support Plant Floor Systems / Corporate teams in resolving incidents; provide triage, execute business continuity plans, support escalations, and provide 'hands and feet' support with our international support team (DBA, Server Operations, Ops Control, Network Operations, etc) Focus on the integration / long term maintenance of applications and hardware Assist the Site IT Manager with managing assignments and workload Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation Support of local network equipment in a Cisco based environment Support of local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux based ecosystem Support of Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIOT, iOS, software-defined network, mobile, and Android based equipment
Experience Required:A 2-year or higher college degree An eagerness to learn, embrace, and practice within defined IT Operations A strong desire to learn manufacturing and business practices from a IT perspective A broad business and manufacturing mindset An understanding of computer-based tools, computing infrastructure, and an interest in processes that support manufacturing operations A willingness to work in a high-pressure production environment An utmost commitment to support a 24x7 operation A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new technologies A willingness to get hot, cold, and dirty in a semi-tempered plant floor environment
