Description
The Quality Engineer (electronics / lighting) will:
- Develop and implement quality standards and control systems.
- Analyze warranty returns; collaborate with suppliers for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with UL, ETL, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement testing methods for products and processes.
- Manage calibration and maintenance of test and production equipment.
- Develop corrective and preventative actions.
- Handle customer complaints related to product quality.
- Enhance manufacturing processes by researching and testing methods.
- Provide technical support for all products.
- In a small company environment, tasks include QMS implementation, interacting with operations and production, ensuring quality steps are followed, analyzing product returns, and adapting to changing needs.
Profile
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering.
- Preferable if candidate has 5 years of experience.
- Experience in Quality Processes, Production, and Testing of Electrical Products (Lighting preferred).
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Understands quality systems and can implement and improve processes.
- Hands-on approach, no direct reports, interacts with various departments.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 guidelines is beneficial.
- Proactive, able to hit the ground running in a smaller company environment.
