Responsibilities Peraton is hiring a Test Engineer for our UMSS program in San Diego, CA. Work will be performed onsite. What you will do: Design, execute, and report operational tests for the MK 18 program at NIWC PAC. With emphasis on the analysis and reporting of test results of side scan sonar ATR algorithms used on UUVs.
Organize UUV side scan data pertaining to ATR tasks. Identify and partition data by means of training versus testing data characteristics.
Evaluate ATR algorithm performance and produce performance reports, including analysis on ROC charts, Cross-Track Detection plots, and Confidence Distribution plots.
Produce ATR algorithm training data packages (real and synthetic), which involve organizing data by sensor type and target type and finalize data packages as needed for algorithm ingestion.
Plan UUV missions
Apply Deep Learning and Computer Vision to algorithm developmentQualifications What you'll need: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA.
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Must have systems integration testing experience
Experience with data analytics for ML algorithmsDesired Skills: Experience designing, executing, reporting, and directing operational tests.
Experience analyzing and reporting on the test results of side scan sonar Automated Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms used on unmanned underwater vehicles.
Background Engineering for the Maritime Environment
Target Salary Range $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
