As a Senior Space Systems Engineer on our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and deploy the next generation of resilient capabilities to deliver critical information to our warfighters to quickly win or even prevent future wars. Your client will trust you to develop Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical assessments, verification plans, and digital mission and system models for satellite systems and payloads. You will grow your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats, and using innovative engineering methodologies and tools to create tomorrow's solutions. Join us. You Have: 10+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration on national security space programs Experience performing systems engineering for satellite systems Experience leading a team for development of technical specifications, ICDs, and integration for satellite systems Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2 Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammates Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), defense weather, and tactical ISR mission areas Experience with OPIR payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, TT&C, communications, data processing, and structures Experience leading a team performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems Experience leading a team using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02 Knowledge of Agile Methodologies TS/SCI clearance Master's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics field INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
