The Deamer Group is excited to partner with Red Duke Strategies in its search for a highly skilled Project Manager -Medical Technology Pilot (MTP) for a clinical anesthesoa gas reduction pilot project. Position Summary:

Red Duke Strategies(RDS) is in McLean VA and is a service-disabled Veteran owned small business committed to improving the lives of service members and their families by bringing innovation, to the systems that support them. Red Duke Strategies focuses on healthcare innovation, climate and energy security and military child education.

The Project Manager-MTP will lead the successful execution of a groundbreaking pilot project aimed at reducing the excessive use of anesthesia gas in healthcare settings. Anesthesia gases are potent greenhouse gases that contribute significantly to global warming. This initiative is critical to the U.S. governments sustainability goals and the healthcare industry's environmental responsibility.

The Project Manager (MTP) will work with key clients at the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to lead the development and execution of a project to change clinician's behaviors to reduce their excessive use of anesthetic gas in operating rooms and other clinical environments and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from VA healthcare facilities across the country. They will take full ownership of the project, working closely with internal teams and key client stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of key project milestones over a 12-month period. They will coordinate all efforts, from validating existing reduction efforts to tracking progress and ensuring the effective communication of results. Candidates should be driven, self-motivated multi-taskers comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

Own and lead the anesthesia gas reduction pilot project's success from initiation to completion.

Develop and manage a comprehensive 12-month project strategy to scale anesthesia gas reduction strategies at VA hospitals across the country, including key objectives, deliverables, timelines, activities, and team roles and responsibilities.

Manage the day-to-day work associated with the project, including developing business cases, behavior change strategies, and scaling plans.

Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to ensure alignment and project progress.

Validate results from current efforts aimed at reducing anesthesia gas usage.

Facilitate weekly coordination calls to review project progress and define next steps.

Produce clear and concise weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Travel to VA facilities throughout the United States as the spokesperson presenting to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of project management experience.

3-5 years as a clinician or working with clinicians in a hospital or clinic environment. Understanding of clinical processes is required; direct clinical, operating room, and/or Veterans healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

3-5 years of experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) thinking and implementation of HCD strategies for behavior change.

2-4 years of experience with health communications and health behavior change.

Ability to understand and explain medical terminology is required; ability to understand and explain climate science terminology and concepts is strongly preferred.

Interest in climate science and healthcare sustainability and willingness to learn climate science concepts.

Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Experience with MS Office, Teams and Smart Sheets, SharePoint

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

Able to effectively convey information in presentation form to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Strong organizational, time and people management skills.

Ability to motivate and manage highly qualified subject matter experts.

Experience with fast-paced strategic thinking to assist with overcoming obstacles.

Experience working in high growth, start-up organizations is preferred.

Ability to travel is required.
