Role Summary:
The Senior Manager of Autonomy TPM is a key member of Rivian's autonomy team, driving shared understanding of timelines, dependencies across not just Autonomy but the entirety of Rivian. A successful candidate for this role thrives on complex problems and sorting out organizational and technological interdependencies and is not afraid to ask tough questions and hard truths.

Responsibilities:
Understanding of complex technology projects, particularly ones that intersect with hardware, software, and regulatory constraints

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate to external partner organizations to drive shared outcomes for Rivian

Drives pragmatic decisions and tradeoffs to maximize probability of hitting critical timelines

Doesn't get stuck- can spelunk into deep repositories of Confluence and other documentation to wayfind and build a mental model of project work

Works with finance on justifying team budgets

Strong leader who can not only grow and mentor an existing team of TPMs but also can bring in and ramp up new team members as our charter expands

Manages ambiguity by presenting options with a clear point of view for leadership

This role keenly understands the role of TPM as an insider/outsider, someone who drives accountability through influence and soft power rather than hard power and authority.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management on deep tech products

Hands on experience with ML based products including evaluation with metrics driven analysis

Experience with developing and shipping Autonomous Vehicle products and the pieces in place for a State of the Art approach that involves both open and closed loop simulation and eval

Pay Disclosure:
