We are seeking to hire an Engineering Manager for our Albany, NY office. The ideal candidate will have a background as a mechanical, electrical, or energy engineer. As Engineering Manager, your focus will center on three main areas: 1) Managerial leadership, 2) Technical leadership, and 3) Business development. Projects will emphasize innovative, clean energy, and electrification/decarbonization initiatives. Key objectives for this role include recruiting and expanding our mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering presence in the region.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate with program and department managers, design and project teams, and construction managers.
Develop business in clean energy projects across the geographic region.
Recruit and support the growth of a mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering team.
Mentor the regional clean energy engineering team.
Conduct preliminary systems assessments and develop high-level project strategies.
Perform field investigations and condition assessments of existing systems, primarily mechanical, electrical, and energy systems.
Assist with project and proposal preparation.
Develop scopes of work, schematics, and P&ID drawings for design purposes.
Create implementation plans and schedules.
Prepare presentations and reports.
Meet with clients to support engineering projects throughout design and construction.
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering.
PE license preferred.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other relevant industry certifications are a plus, but not required.
Expertise across multiple technical areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering.
Ability to oversee QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.
Capable of leading the development of construction documents and supporting bidding and construction activities.
Experience in developing MEP and energy projects.
Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience with AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.
Familiarity with building modeling software is a plus.
