Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship. Job Title: Technician III Department: Production Reports To: Production Value Stream Manager and Production Lead
Overview: The qualified candidate will perform RF system testing and electro-mechanical troubleshooting for both sub-assemblies and upper level assembly production deliverables. A high level aptitude for RF troubleshooting and signal processing is desired. Minimum Background, Experience and Requirements
Must have or be able to obtain secret clearance
2 year associates degree in electronics or equivalent industry experience
Experience as an RF test technician within a production-line atmosphere
Basic math skills
Strong desire to learn on the job
Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
Must be able to organize to meet deadlines
Knowledge of ESD product handling, standard safety procedures and PPE requirements
Reliable transportation, professional appearance and attitude
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and communication skills
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Additional Responsibilities Tasks and Skills
Use all commercial test equipment such spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes and multi meters.
Can read and navigate test-plans, work-plans, blueprints, schematics, engineering directives and change orders
Test and troubleshoot sub-assembly and upper assemblies with precision according to system specifications.
Identifies electro-mechanical defects or failures at the system level and follows company procedures operational sheets to remedy May interface with RF engineering regarding technical issues and system resolutions.
Must be computer literate and able to navigate production related software
Must be able to digitally enter and retrieve information for configuration and traceability purposes
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or directed. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Electrical Technology/Electronics A.A.S. degree or certificate
Experienced non-graduate professional with equivalent experience may be considered Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $59520 - $95280 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
