SNC is seeking an experienced OMS Service Lead to architect, develop, and implement cutting-edge Open Mission System services for a state-of-the-art airborne platform. In this pivotal role, you will: Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner closely with system, electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers to deliver specialized OMS aligned software that integrates with various mission-critical systems and hardware components. Innovate and Lead: Drive the development of advanced OMS features and services, ensuring efficient and robust mission system integration and interoperability. Team Leadership: Lead a talented team of software engineers, ensuring effective task privatization, on-schedule execution, and high morale while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks related to OMS development and integration, and develop robust mitigation plans to ensure project success. Own the software architecture and baseline for command and control mission systems
Provide definition of software practices and procedures
Design system of systems from clean sheet design to complex problems on existing systems
Lead OMS mission package development and deployment effort
OMS Architecture design and development
Ensure OMS conformance and compliance
Perform risk management and issue resolution
Facilitate software design and architecture decisions Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
3 years of software architecture and system design experience
8 years of working within a software engineering team
Experience working on OMS standard including a strong architectural understanding, OMS service development, and compliance process
Expertise of software languages such as C#, C++, Java
An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Experience with containers and orchestration technologies
Experience with Command and Control Mission Systems or Autonomous aircraft systems
General working knowledge of airborne mission system architectures and subsystems i.e. Navigation, Telemetry, Data links, Networking, Communication, EO/IR imagery, etc.
Masters Degree in Computer Science
Model Based Systems Engineering experience
Experience with image processing and/or imagery analysis Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
