DCS develops Army Robotics Common Software (ARCS), which is the Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) library of modular software package that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces' research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. GVSC is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.

Essential Job Functions:

Act as testing lead for the autonomous system implemented in ROS.

Own the V&V (Verification and Validation) workflow for the product line.

Develop test specifications to verify software requirements with performance metrics.

Create and maintain test cases, metrics within MBSE.

Willingness to develop and run tests using software, simulation and/or vehicle to collect data for ROS based autonomous ground vehicle systems.

Assist requirements engineer and architect with decomposition of complex software system.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, related engineering or applied science field.

At least 5 years of experience implementing system engineering best practices with a focus on V&V.

Basic knowledge of vehicle controls, sensors, autonomous systems and functional safety.

Experience with MBSE, model-based development using SysML, UML tools.

Desired Skills:

Experience in Robotics, autonomous systems.

Experience with understanding of perception, behavior, planning and motion control of a robotic system.
