Axient is currently seeking a C-sUAS Trainer to support our Directed Requirement (DR) and Capabilities Development Document (CDD) customer in Huntsville, AL. C-sUAS trainer will have knowledge or related expertise in C-sUAS operations, Command-and-Control Systems, Kinetic C-sUAS technologies, radar operations and experience with DoD C-sUAS System of Systems capabilities. C-sUAS trainer will also have experience in Program of Instruction (POI) and Training Support Package (TSP) development, and instructor platform experience with formal instructor course certification preferred. What you will do Duties will include, but not limited to: Develop and review POI and TSP materials. Review technical manuals for accuracy and completeness. Conduct formal classroom and hands-on instruction on fielded C-sUAS systems to organization operators. Determine student understanding and capability to operate systems through hands-on and practical exercise evaluations. Conduct Site Survey and data collection tasks supporting the Direct Requirement fielding of C-sUAS.
Operate and maintain testing, data collection, and training equipment in support of Site Survey activities, New Equipment Fielding (NEF) and New Equipment Training (NET) schedules and event objectives. Brief Teams and Program Managers on assigned tasks related to Site Survey activities, C-sUAS system installations, NEF/NET statuses and conduct event After-Action Reviews (AARs). Planning for Site Survey, NEF, and NET events, including scheduling, organizing, and projecting of resources, personnel, unit support requirements and facilities required to achieve operational objectives. Be able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for periods up to 6 weeks (typically 1-2 weeks). Other duties as assigned. Skills you will need Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications: Must possess an active and transferable Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance with current investigation and must be able to maintain clearance requirements. Possess current U.S. passport. Bachelors Degree with minimum of 3 years experience Experience with DoD Air and Missile Defense systems or a related complex DoD weapon system of systems. Experience with Command and Control (C2) operations. Experience writing technical documents, professional presentations and developing training aids and instructional material. Experience conducting formal classroom instruction and student evaluations. Military or equivalent Instructor Certification preferred. Possess high degree of adaptability to learn C-sUAS at the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Level. Be able to act decisively and perform job related tasks with minimal oversight. Ability to travel up to 50%. Applicants for positions which require a US government security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.
