POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, the IT Manager manages the operations, maintenance and user support of the Company's IT hardware, networks and operating systems in support of a military installation. Employees in this position ensure desktops and related computer systems meet the needs of users and are properly maintained and ensure all data needed by the Company and the customer is readily available and is properly maintained in electronic databases. This job requires knowledge of the Company's applications software, systems and devices, and the ability to establish and maintain high quality and responsive technical support and customer service.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Confers with customer to ascertain specific requirements, degree of data summary and format for management reports, and information security. Analyzes and resolves data collection, reporting and access issues.
2. Performs duties associated with Electric Vehicle Security Manager processes and procedures. Is part of a testing group that gathers, logs and reports data and ensure said data is transmitted in a secure environment.
3. Leads the customers IT security program and performs duties as the primary Information Assurance Officer. Develops and implements IT security protocol for the customer.
4. Acts as the customers' primary ITEC (IT Equipment Custodian), issuing and recording equipment receipts, performing annual equipment inventories, and initiating Report of Survey for any missing equipment.
5. Manages the customer's document control program by performing Live link Knowledge Manager duties. Trains, provides access, and password management to customer and contractor personnel
6. Provides customer and contractor support for the military's IWIMS/ACES computer work order and inventory control systems. Provides technical assistance and password management help.
7. Schedules and provides training on both Company and commercial off-the-shelf software to Company personnel.
8. Provides set-up and management oversight of Energy Management and Control System for the bases' HVAC and lighting systems at B252.
9. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communications equipment to determine the best method of repair.
10. Generates technical reports and instructional manuals concerning operational systems.
11. Plans, develops and trains in disaster recovery systems.
12. Oversees, recommends computer/peripheral hardware and software purchases and support throughout the customer offices by performing USLM (Unit Software License Manager) duties;
13. Acts as Tech Support liaison between customer and Company by attending meetings and representing the Company.
14. Develops financial reports for Management to analyze daily operations.
15. Designs long-range strategy for information systems based on operational analysis.
16. Establishes and adjusts workload to meet critical demands of customer staff.
17. Initiates process improvements to achieve work goals.
18. Ensures database recovery process is in place.
19. Coordinates, establishes, monitors and manages vendors as required.
20. Oversees the customers Key Control Program spreadsheet and provides training and access to users of the system.
21. Acts as subject matter expert on systems and business processes within functional areas.
22. Coordinates on-site computer help desk support services, to facilitate user productivity.
23. Participates in a variety of departmental and other meetings on a regular basis.
24. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five years of technical support or computer operations experience;
• Knowledge of networks and Operating Systems; Certificates in Network + and A+ preferred, and Security+ required,
• Proficient in the use of personal computer systems, including MS Word and Excel specifically, and advanced skills in using presentation software;
• Comprehensive understanding of information technology and technical support processes; ability to install and configure desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Visio, MS Project, etc.
• Proficient in the use of personal computer systems, including MS Word and Excel specifically, and advanced skills in using presentation software;
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors and/or customers;
• Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers;
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;
• Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
• Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
• Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems;
• Demonstrated customer service, common sense, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Information Technology or related field
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
