McLaughlin Research Corporation has an exciting opportunity for junior level or mid-level SYSTEMS ENGINEERS/ANALYSTS to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island. Specific tasking spans the Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems with emphasis on payloads and platform interfaces. The qualified candidate will be part of a collaborative team of engineers and support technicians working to bring a variety of system designs from the early concept stage all the way through fabrication and test. Primary responsibilities:
• Systems engineering, including analysis and support of UUV design, payloads, and platform interfaces
• Naval Architecture for undersea systems
• Energy solutions for primary and secondary sources • Evaluation of new and updated payloads
• Analysis of Vehicle control characteristics including hydrodynamics, buoyancy, autopilot
• Integration of Robotics, Autonomy, Sensing systems
• Conduct payload integration testing of new or existing payloads • Provide system installation field support and associated data analysis Job Requirements: • Bachelor's level degree in Ocean/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Robotics/Systems Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience required
