SNC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a new facility, designing assembly lines, and establishing processes for the launch of a new product. This role is crucial for ensuring that our new operations are efficient, cost-effective, and adhere to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, project management, and process optimization. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Responsibilities: Plan and oversee the layout of the new facility, ensuring optimal space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the facility meets all operational requirements and compliance standards.
Develop and implement safety protocols and ergonomic solutions to create a safe working environment.
Design and set up assembly lines to meet production goals for the new product.
Conduct time and motion studies to optimize assembly line efficiency and labor utilization.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve productivity.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all new processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure processes are aligned with product specifications and quality standards.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Project Management
Manage the timeline, budget, and resources for the facility setup and product launch projects.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential project challenges.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, milestones, and any issues that arise.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial engineering.
Conduct root cause analysis for any production issues and implement corrective actions. Must-haves: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on facility setup and process design.
Proven experience in managing projects, particularly those involving new facility and product launches Skills & Competencies Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering tools for facility and assembly line design.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of safety and ergonomic standards.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
