Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Quality Technician to support all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Technician will be responsible to support customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements while delivering simple, yet effective solutions to improve operational efficiencies and reduce cost.
Key Deliverables / Requirements of the Position:
1) Inspect components with various hand tools (caliper, height gauge, micrometer, etc.)
2) Utilize CNC measuring equipment (Romer Arm, CMM, etc.) to inspect parts (No prior experience required, AMI will train onsite)
3) Record dimensional data, and evaluate parts for conformance / non-conformance
4) Work directly with QA / Engineering to provide guidance to manufacturing employees regarding dimensional conformance of parts
5) Familiar with blueprint reading (GD&T experience preferred)
6) Create inspection plans (QA-1's) based off customer requirements and company standards
7) Ability to perform Root Cause and Corrective action analysis

Required Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma, or GED required
- 2-year associate degree or 3-5 years' experience in a quality hands-on role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Able to stand or sit for long periods at a time
- Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions
- Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
- General manufacturing assembly and fabrication experience is preferred
Required Technical Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient Computer Skills
- a. Microsoft Office
- b. Experience with ERP Systems; Epicor Vista preferred
- c. SolidWorks
- A working understanding of Quality requirements, customer flow-downs, AS9100/ISO approvals.
- Ability to communicate and ask clarifying questions and understand the workflow in order to properly troubleshoot issues.
