Schedule: 9/80 Regular Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Manager in Program Finance. This individual is responsible for providing financial guidance, strategy, forecasting, and business management. They will play a key role in keeping programs on track for financial performance. We are seeking a proactive, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management and Engineering. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking and the ability to work with minimal day to day supervision. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner. Essential Functions: Acts as the subject matter expert for financial performance of their business area, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutions.
Develop and present monthly forecast of key financial metrics (Orders, Revenue, Operating Income, Cash) to executive leadership.
Provide weekly analysis and status of key drivers to financial forecast. Provide leadership and mentorship to finance professionals
Communicates within and outside their function to explain and influence financial performance.
Provides suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiatives.
Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials, data compliance and cost accounting.
Educate and lead financial analysts in monitoring costs and key drivers of revenue and cash flow.
Educate and lead financial analysts with workforce planning, forecasting and reporting
Educate and lead financial analysts on how to perform extensive investigations and understands root cause of problems.
Proficiency to analyze quarterly EACs, earned value (EV) reports and understand the implications to business area financials.
Educate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performance
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast paced environment. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. Experience managing the financials for complex programs and businesses
Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel and Powerpoint.
Expertise in understanding and using Earned Value Management concepts and processes. Experience with risk management, financial management
US citizenship required. Preferred Additional Skills: Prior leadership experience
Graduate degree
Experience using SAP & Power BI
Knowledge of government contracts, funding profiles, sales outlook and variance analysis preferred.
Strong computer skills Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
Certifications such as PMP, EVMP or similar
