Expert Imagery Scientist_Photogrammetrist Position Requirement: • MUST BE A US CITIZEN • ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED • MUST HAVE 8-10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS IMAGERY ANALYST PERFORMING PHOTOGRAMMETRIST PROCESSING THIS ROLE AT THE NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY or ANOTHER INTEL AGENCY REQUIRED Locations: Springfield, VA
Job Type: Full-Time Employee Overview: Successful candidate must have demonstrated expert experience, knowledge and skills in applying photogrammetric techniques to monoscopic, stereoscopic and multiscopic modes. Duties: Serve as an expert in applying photogrammetric techniques to monoscopic, stereoscopic and multiscopic modes, including error propagation calculations and analysis, proficiency in using photogrammetric techniques on a variety of imagery types (e.g. satellite, tactical, ground, and video); working knowledge of photogrammetric techniques on a variety of imagery types (e.g. satellite, tactical, ground, and video); working knowledge of photogrammetry, trigonometry, statistics, geodesy and overhead imaging; proficiency using COTS and GOTS photogrammetric and ELT software packages (e.g. Mensuration service program (MSP), Socet GXP, common geopositioning services (CGS), RemoteView, AGI Systems toolkit, Microstation / AutoCAD, Compass, EOS Photomodeler, and context capture; an ability to visualize objects in three dimensions and view imagery in stereo; possess familiarity with US intelligence missions; experience collaborating with all/multiple national and service intelligence agencies/centers; and possess knowledge in tasking of overhead intelligence collection systems.
Specifically, successful candidate will: • Support verification and validation (V&V) efforts for tools, techniques, processes, etc. as needed. • Identify, build, evaluate, and recommend next generation photogrammetric related processing tools to fill intelligence gaps. • Identify, develop, automate, and apply photogrammetric techniques to add value to formal intelligence reporting. • Support research and development of solutions for mensuration of imagery captured by commercial drones or similar capabilities. • Document and effectively communicate work performed, results, and associated impact in writing, on a weekly basis or as requested, when needed to inform formal intelligence reporting, office activity reports, and to facilitate knowledge management and broad information sharing. • Develop and present photogrammetric related briefings for presentation at technical sessions and forums for various audiences. • Prototype and build photogrammetric sensor modeling solutions for extracting measurements from controlled and uncontrolled imagery with error propagation. Required Skills and Experience: • Bachelor of Science or higher in image science, remote sensing, earth science, physical science, engineering, computer science, statistics, or similar engineering/science field. • Expert knowledge and skills with applied image processing and advanced analysis and each of the following: Support verification and validation (V&V) efforts for tools, techniques, processes, etc. as needed.
