Responsibilties inlcude:
• To ensure plant utilities (steam, water electric, glycol, air) is reliable, properly functioning and maintained. Maintain plant equipment to minimize loss of production and provide a safe work environment for all employees
• Lead the Power House team to maximize energy efficiency and reduce costs in a safe and effective manner
• Effective management of raw water and waste water treatment that as a minimum meets local, state and federal regulations
• Leads the plants Capital Expenditure projects associated with scope of responsibility
• Serves as a backup supervisor / manager within the maintenance department
• Adhere to all local, state, federal and corporate policies in the areas of safety, human resource management etc.
• Direct supervision of hourly employees as well as contractors when necessary
• Ultimately accountable for performance in the assigned department in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, production and employee actions
Qualifications
• BS in Engineering Preferred - Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Civil, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance management in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7/365 day operation - preferably in chemical processing or heavy manufacturing
• Specific experience with boilers, chillers, HVAC, water treatment, electrical system maintenance and compressed air systems is preferred
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to groups.
• Demonstrates positive leadership, organization and interpersonal skills, as well as coaching skills and techniques.
• Demonstrates problem identification and resolution skills, and the ability to drive change
• Excellent PC skills, knowledge and experience especially MS Office.
