The Environmental and Regulatory Advisor will support the corporate and local operating teams' environmental and regulatory efforts, focusing on environmental initiatives, emissions reduction and permitting efforts. This position will report to the Director - HSE & Regulatory and will be based on-site in the Houston, TX office.

The Environmental and Regulatory Advisor will support the corporate and local operating teams' environmental and regulatory efforts, focusing on environmental initiatives, emissions reduction and permitting efforts. This position will report to the Director - HSE & Regulatory and will be based on-site in the Houston, TX office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead in all emissions and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Lead on GHG reporting and compliance.
- Ensure field compliance within OGI Leak Survey and Repair Programs including OOOOa/b/c, fixed wing flyovers, AVOs, etc.
- Facilitate and lead environmental compliance database data quality improvements.
- Support to asset teams in completing and submitting regulatory filings including but not limited to drilling permits, completions, recompletions, flare permits, commingle permits, and injection permits with all associated forms.
- Research and assist to resolve all compliance issues.
- Maintain in-house tracking systems with current information.
- Request and review as-drilled plats provided by the survey company.
- Distribute filings to teams and departments as needed.
- Assist with review of assets for compliance issues during acquisitions and divestitures.
- Work with service company to obtain, review and file W-15's.
- Complete all data collection for completion packets.
- Assess and resolve violation notices for assigned area.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Air regulations (including Texas permitting), OOOOa/OOOOb/OOOOc, GHG, etc.
- Emissions inventorying and reporting.
- Deep experience comprehending and interpreting State and Federal rules and regulations and filing of State and Federal documents
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various regulatory agencies.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and influence other departments and discuss issues that may arise.
- Must be able to apply knowledge and use critical thinking skills to achieve work responsibilities.
- Must be able to work independently with little direction.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience within the energy industry, with a required focus on State of Texas regulatory and environmental matters.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience overseeing EHS matters specifically related to State and Federal rules and regulations, as well as filing of required State and federal documents.
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task under tight schedule constraints, work on multiple projects concurrently, manage varying priorities and tasks, and adapt quickly to rapidly changing events, meeting deadlines with attention given to detail.
- BS/BA degree preferred, or equivalent professional relevant experience
