The successful candidate is able to see through the minutiae of detail provided by the customer and in working with a function Domain Manager, clearly illustrate true requirements that best informs solution analysis. The position will require the team member to become knowledgeable in the customer's business operations and technology resources to provide value-add contributions that enable the customer to consistently meet their mission, goals, and objectives. The Business Analyst position is also a key role in connecting the Knowledge Management Team to other service delivery teams within the agency, as we implement Agile principles and methodologies! Position is a hybrid role- candidate will be expected to be in the office once per week minimum Essential Job Responsibilities Clearly discern quality requirements that leads to a feasible solution. This involves the eliciting, collecting, analyzing, communicating, and documenting of an actionable requirement that is further refined to ensure the right solution
Carrying out interviews, surveys, and facilitating business process descriptions to walk the product owner toward what is truly required to meet business goals in tune with a Lean Process
Develops use cases modeling and specification, scenarios, business analysis, and task & workflow analysis
Effectively communicate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritization
Test business processes and foster improvements facilitating continuous process improvement (LEAN)
Work closely with cross-functional agile project teams to help drive projects across the product design, development and testing life cycle
Participate in Scrum ceremonies; retrospectives, demos, and sprints
Adapt as necessary to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the customer's progressive responsibilities and directives
Additional duties as assigned or required Minimum Qualifications 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Must be an engaged and effective communicator, with good listening skills Requirements Verification and Validation Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) impacting software development
Features and Requirements Traceability Extensive experience in supporting Product Managers and Knowledge Managers in Agile software development and project management practices Strong Agile/Scrum business and software usability analysis Capacity and commitment to successfully work independently as well as with a team Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and O365 technologies (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote)
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Requirements Experience with the Demand Module of ServiceNow
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework
Experience with LEAN/ ITIL
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Proficient in Confluence and Jira platforms Strong management skills; well-organized and detail-oriented Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments Ability to understand business objectives, interpret guidance/ direction, and run stakeholder meetings Adept at task, schedule, and deadline management DoD experience
